Mark and Brenda Bachert

Mark began full-time service to the Lord in 2003 when he stayed in Nicaragua after a Seed Sowers outreach in Dolores, Carazo. He and Isaiah Frazier continued on in Gospel Meetings and teaching the handful of believers there.

May 2004, Mark and Brenda were married in Portage la Prairie, MB and Brenda joined Mark in the work of the Lord in Dolores. Since then, the Lord has blessed us with four precious children and has clearly defined our focus.

We are servants. We believe our call is to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them the commandments of Jesus. As we strive to fulfil this great commission, we pray that souls will be rescued and labourers will be sent. This is one of the reasons why we invite young men to participate in yearlong discipleship. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for involvement and we know that the Lord moulds each life.

We communicate the gospel in personal conversations; in small home groups; in a weekly Sunday night service; and from time to time in Parks, Tents, or rented buildings. Along with preaching, we strive to live the gospel by walking alongside folks helping them develop healthy habits in Christ. This part of ministry isn’t as exciting as the gospel campaigns, but it is invaluable for stability, sense of community, and local Church growth.

We seek wisdom from above to faithfully serve our God here as we lead our little family through different stages of child-rearing. In our years here, we’ve experienced discouragement, bouts of illness, personal failures and times of rich blessing from the Lord. We give testimony to the faithfulness of the Sovereign who promised, “I will never leave you, I will never forsake you.”
